Sailors Aboard Wayne E. Meyer Conduct Fisheries Patrol Exercise with US Coast Guard, Ecuadorian Navy
PACIFIC OCEAN (NNS) -- Sailors aboard Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) conducted a fisheries patrol exercise with the U.S. Coast Guard and Ecuadorian naval assets in the Pacific Ocean, Nov. 22.
YOKOSUKA, Japan (NNS) -- USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) achieved a major milestone this week as it successfully launched from dry dock and moored pierside at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Nov. 27.
SINGAPORE (NNS) -- The aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53) and the guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) arrived in Singapore for a scheduled port visit, Nov. 24. The visit to “the Lion City” by assets of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group (JCSSG) affords the crew the opportunity to enjoy one of the most dynamic ports in the world and to expand partnerships in the region.
VICTORIA HARBOR, Hong Kong (NNS) -- Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) received a video teleconference call from President Donald Trump during a port visit to Hong Kong, Nov. 22. Seventeen Sailors and officers sat in on the VTC with President Trump and other service members from the other branches of the armed forces.
MEDITERRANEAN SEA (NNS) -- Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. John Richardson and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Russell Smith embarked the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) Nov. 22 to celebrate the season of giving with Truman’s more than 5,000 Sailors.
HONG KONG (NNS) -- The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) and guided-missile destroyer USS Curtis D. Wilbur (DDG 54) anchored in Hong Kong Harbor, Nov. 21. Ronald Reagan is the flagship for Commander, Task Force (CTF) 70, embarked with Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 and Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15.
